“This encompasses anomalous, unidentified space, aerial, submerged, and transmedium objects.”
A transmedium object is defined as one that is capable of traveling across land, through the air, or on or underwater with comparable ease.
US Under-Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security Ronald Moultrie stated in a released memo that the establishment of AARO represents a significant advancement for the US.
“It is crucial for our national security and the safety of our military personnel to maintain vigilance regarding anomalous objects in all domains,” he remarked.
“We also need to stay abreast of the innovations and uses of new technologies by our adversaries.
“By doing so, we are dedicated to ensuring maximum transparency while protecting classified and controlled unclassified information.”
